Riding Into Life

How the wheels started spinning

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
— Albert Einstein

Sometimes the direction you are headed changes, all you can do it keep pedaling.

Hey, I’m Andrea Locke. Growing up a competitive freestyle skier, I have always had a desire for adrenaline. Once the competing took a toll on my body I transitioned into coaching. Coaching was a passion, a way to give back to a sport that gave me so much, as well as, a way to pay the bills while in Business school. After spending 5 years coaching in the Freestyle world, it was time for change. An opportunity to work with Nitehawk Year Round Adventure Park as a bike guide was presented to me. Despite it being 11 years since riding a bike, I instantly said yes. That playful freedom I felt out on the snow covered peaks came back to me as I made my way down trails on a bike. The confidence I felt from improving skills in a sport throughout my life, has been reignited as I continue to learn the sport of mountain biking. Adrenalin and passion rushed through me…

The more I rode, the more alive I felt.
It was time to start Riding Into Life
